Accept Credit Cards Online Without Opening A Merchant Account

Merchant account has been a necessity for the retailers in order to accept credit cards from their customers online on their websites. Usually you must go to your bank, they evaluate your risks and only then after thorough checks you are allowed to open a merchant account. Opening a merchant account takes a lot of time – lots of paperwork is needed, your credit score should be checked, your websites are checked thoroughly. The acquiring bank can easily decline your application if your product seems a bit risky to them. Such things happen especially when you try to sell your digital products online – ebooks or software. So it can be a quite hard to start processing credit cards online. But today, it is not the only option for the business which is just on the start up move. There are a number of services which does not require merchant account for accepting credit cards. All you have to do is just to signup on one of these companies, add your product details to the system and place payment buttons on your website. They will resell your product – your customers will be able to buy your product with credit cards or Paypal payments – and you will get your earnings paid out directly to your bank account or Paypal.

In order to accept credit cards online without a merchant account you have to:

1. Search for the existing credit card processors online that would process payments for you. You have to find whether you need a processor to accept cards both in online and offline mode. Then you need to locate whether the processor allows your special product type to be accepted.

2. Then you must initiate an investigation for the third party payment processors which are available. Some of third party payment processors have comparatively higher transactions fees than others, but on the other hand they provide very responsive services and makes immediate bank account transfers. So make sure you get all information beforehand – processing rates, refund and chargeback fees, a list of accepted product types.

3. When you find a right company, just signup on it and provide some personal details. All of them require your personal details, bank account information, contact details and an email address.

4. In some cases you will also need to provide the social security number for applying through the third party processors, depending on the sales turnover and account needs.

5. The next important stage is incorporating the service into the website. This requires a bit of web development consultations to create some attractive payment buttons for the customers to complete their purchase. Usually once your account is approved, you have to submit products that you are planning to sell for an approval. The processor usually checks your website and product’s sales pages whether you provide enough information about the product, they compare if your website complies to all regulatory rules and then approves your product. Once you get your product approved, you are provided a simple html code to place on your website to direct visitors to your product’s checkout page – to order the product. All you have to do is just to place those payment buttons on your website and you will be ready to go.

Once you have everything set up, all you have to do is just to start advertising your website online to get visitors… Potential customers will read your website and find all payment buttons you provide. They will be redirected to your products checkout pages and be able to buy using their credit cards or Paypal account.

This way you don’t need to open a separate merchant account to sell products online. One more good thing for using 3rd party payment processors is that you don’t have to deal with possible credit card fraud. Such companies will check all your transactions for you, so you can be sure that you will sell your products successfully without any potential risks to your account getting closed.

How To Create A Sellable Online Product Guaranteed!

Too many marketers have created new products for the marketplace and spent time, money and energy to promote it only to find that their efforts only produced frustration, headaches and a skinny wallet. Unfortunately, these marketers have forgotten the single most important factor that will affect their product sales – the “sellability” of the product.

The most critical factor to determine when you begin to create or purchase buying rights to a certain product to sell is the demand of the product. Do people want what you’ve got? It makes no sense in the world to waste precious time creating a product, websites and a strong marketing campaign to find out that no one has a want, need or desire for your product!

Just so that you are absolutely clear, your ultimate goal is to deliver your product and put money in your bank account. To do this you must find a market that has a specific want, need or desire and then fill that want, need or desire with the right product. It’s really that simple. In order to do this, you need to ask your customers what they want, need and desire. Ask in forums related to your niche. Conduct a survey or public poll. The Internet is an open air market, and you have the power to reach just about anyone in the world who has an Internet connection.

Let’s say you have a wonderful idea on creating a step-by-step guide on how to cook Italian cuisine. First, you must find out exactly who is interested in Italian food. In this instance, you can simply go to a food related forum and tactfully ask if anyone would be interested in learning Italian cuisine. Make sure you are careful not to blatantly ask who would like to buy your eBook as you will quickly be labeled as a spammer among that forum.

The best way to research your market is to give out a few samples of your tips or recipes to see how the forum members react to them. If they show an interest and want to learn more, then you definitely have a market in this. On the other hand, if no interest is shown, it’s time to look for a new idea to market. Approaching it this way will save you countless hours of working on a product that doesn’t have a strong demand in the marketplace.

Okay, now that your product has piqued the interest of the forum members you surveyed, now it’s time to create your extensive ebook on cooking Italian food because there is interest in the information you possess. Where there is interest, you can easily build up desire for your product, and with desire (plus good marketing), your purchases will arrive naturally!

Selling High Ticket Products Online – Latest 5 Ways to Improve Selling Your Products Online

Acquiring and mastering the attributes and habits that can lead to a more powerful marketing campaign is the key to improve your high ticket sales.

1. Probe. Make time to discover the needs, expectations, and desires of your potential clients. Let them do most of the talking while you ask them questions that can get them to speak up about the things that they are looking for. Make sure that you practice active listening all throughout and that you give these people your undivided attention. You’ll surely be able to make a first lasting impression if you show them that are genuinely interested in knowing where they are coming from.

2. Be a problem-solver and not a sales person. This is one of the common mistakes of online marketers particularly those who are just starting out. Instead of presenting solution to the pressing issues being faced by their target market, they focus too much on pitching their products and service. Your can get more people to work with you if you position yourself as a valuable resource. Someone who can offer buyers with compelling answers to their questions and solutions to their pressing issues.

3. Think ahead. Before you do cold calls or set up an appointment, make sure that you do your homework. Research all the possible questions that your potential clients might throw at you and get to know their common concerns about your products so you can prepare ahead of time. You must also get to know their objections and prepare rebuttals early on.

4. You are not a politician. People who are running for public office will say just about anything to win your vote. They will promise amazing things that they will not fulfill once they were elected. You don’t want to be someone like that. You would want to impress your potential clients so they will do business with you. It will be better if you can promise them things that you can certain do and then offer them with something more.

5. Loosen up. You shouldn’t sound pressured to make a sale each time you talk to your prospects. If you feel a bit agitated and if you make your potential clients that there is no way that you will take “no” for an answer, they will most likely to feel uncomfortable talking to you. So, loosen up and have a great time when doing your sales pitches so your prospects will feel the same.

SharetheBay: Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism launches revamped travel app

Upgrades on the Nelson Mandela Bay Travel Guide app include an updated user interface, improved functionality and new information. Key information available on the app includes upcoming events, things to see and do, accommodation, transport, business and emergency contacts, and free wifi spots in the city. It also comes with a pinpoint mapping system, navigating the user to the highlighted destination.

#SharetheBay: Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism launches revamped travel app

“As a destination marketing company, it’s our objective to bring visitors here. Now while the app may not be the perfect tool for that, it is the perfect tool for when they’re here and in the city, and want to find out what it is that they can do, where the attractions are located, and how to contact them – all of that in their pockets,” explained Erenei Louw, coordinator for IT, e-marketing and research at Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism.

“In the past we’ve had the visitors guides, which are still relevant for the folks that don’t use smartphones, but with technology changing and with GPS built into your smartphones, it’s become more useful to use an app. With the whole redevelopment of the app, we’ve taken control of the messaging and themes, branding and pushing the messaging that the destination wants to portray.”

The app has the potential to boost the local economy, exposing and referring users to locally owned businesses such as restaurants, accommodation venues and shopping facilities in Nelson Mandela Bay.

Consumer-driven assessment and evaluation

Councillor Andrew Whitfield
Councillor Andrew Whitfield

“It’s a really easy to navigate app, and I think that also speaks volumes for the kind of city we are – we’re a really easily navigable city – we’re a 15-20 minute city in most directions. Most of our products are certainly within 30-45 minutes of each other and you can achieve a huge amount in Nelson Mandela Bay in one day. If this app helps people navigate the city before they get here – they’ve got their plans, they know where to go, they can hear the stories of the products and make an informed decision – it puts us in a really unique and innovative space, which is in line with a huge trend towards consumer-driven assessment and evaluation of experiences and products online,” said portfolio chairperson for economic development, tourism & agriculture, Councillor Andrew Whitfield, keynote speaker at the launch.

Deals predictions, stores to watch and business case for SA retailers who adopt US Black Friday

The annual retail price slashing marathon and shopping bonanza – Black Friday – falls on Friday, 25 November this year. Just like in 2014 and 2015, queues are expected to start gathering before store opening times in almost all retail stores.
In 2014, South Africans witnessed the arrival of Black Friday from the US with an alacrity that took even retail watchers by surprise. In 2015 the delightful shopping mayhem rose to greater heights when additional stores jumped on the bandwagon and new shoppers entered the fray.

Once again this year, the country will be gripped by a frenzy of Black Friday. Many South African shopping centres, supermarkets and shopping districts will resemble the Christmas Eve sales with crowds of shoppers battling, quite literally, for bargains. This speaks volumes about how the retailers will try anything to make the sales and how consumers will do anything to lay their hands on good bargains.

What led the South African big retailers to adopt the big and brash US festival of consumerism?

Gone are the enrichment golden years of milk and honey where it was great to be in South African retailing. There are no unprecedented levels of consumer spending. Retailers are not aggressively adding new stores, launching new concepts, building an online presence, and expanding internationally.

Even though such retail activities still happen, they are not on a massive scale of yesteryear, but rather in a more moderated and controlled manner.

Revenues no longer rise sharply. Profits do not balloon as they did years before and today’s share prices cease to soar like Halley’s Comet as they did in the good olden days.

Since the beginning of the 2008 financial crisis and recession, if not way before then, retailers have been hitting a wall. Store sales dropped by double digits for many chains. Store closures accelerated, store openings have decelerated, and shareholder value destruction has been massive.

To add more stress and anxiety to retailers, consumers now have more choices than ever before in virtually every category of products and services, as well as in the channels used to acquire them. Shoppers are taking advantage of all the information they can now access to make better decisions. They are getting better at tracking the best prices.

This increased choice and transparency adds to the pressures on retail business. Consumers benefit from increased product selection with lower costs. They compare products online, read reviews, go to the store to interact with the products, and then purchase through whichever channel meets their needs, from lower prices to immediate gratification to personalised service.

For retailers, the increasing number of channels to serve shoppers can lead to a higher cost to serve each consumer. To satisfy an ever-fragmenting consumer base, retailers also must continually upgrade and introduce new products. This increases product development costs and compresses product lifecycles, posing a big challenge for retailers. How will they maintain profitability when customers demand more for less? The long-term decline in ROA suggests that they aren’t, and they will continue to face mounting performance pressures as a result.

Despite all these economic challenges facing retail, resilient South African big retailers see hard times, even a deep recession, as an opportunity to win the loyalty of more customers, increase productivity, and strengthen market position. Hence the adoption of the US Black Friday. Conscious of the strain consumers are under in the current economic climate, South African big retailers adopted the big and brash American festival of consumerism.

The arrival of Black Friday in South Africa confirms just how Christmas, once a Christian festival, has now taken on an irretrievably Stateside materialistic sheen. What is Black Friday and what are its origins?

Black Friday is the American day after Thanksgiving Day that signals the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. It has been in operation in America since before the Second World War.

US retailers kick off the season by offering deep discounts on products for those shoppers lucky enough to obtain the limited supply. Brick and mortar stores traditionally open much earlier than normal business hours, including a few at 12:00 AM – midnight. In recent years, e-commerce sites have also begun offering discounts and free shipping on Black Friday, as well as creating their own shopping holiday in Cyber Monday.

Stores to watch and deals predictions

This year, many more retail stores will join the Black Friday mania to ensure the country experiences the same crazy sales that countries abroad enjoy.

Each year it gets much bigger than the last. A wide range of products and more product categories will be added this year with massive deals ranging from 30% to 50% and 80% discounts on:

Groceries
Smartphones
Cosmetics
Pharmaceuticals
Home and garden
Video games
Electronics and household gadgets
Women’s and men’s clothing
Men’s and women’s shoes
Eyewear
Sportswear
Travel
Toys, etc

To name a few, these are South African big retailers, both online and brick-and-mortar, who adopted the Black Friday in 2014 and 2015. They are the retail stores to watch again during this year’s Black Friday and will be offering from 30% off to 50% off and up to 80% off deals:

Checkers
Pick n Pay
Stutturfords
Cybercellar
Makro
Kalahari
Spree
Zando

The above deals predictions are based on the past promotional behaviours of big retailers during the 2014 and 2015 Black Fridays, which included the following:

It is a well-known fact that Checkers was the first official South African food retailer to fully adopt the US Black Friday sales promotion day. On 28 November 2014, they cut prices up to 50% off on a range of selected general merchandise, food and liquor items for Black Friday. Then, it was their most successful sales and marketing campaign, fuelled by the up to 50% off basic items. The food retailer continued this promotional tradition during their impressive 2015 Black Friday price cuts. I expect that Checkers will continue with this Black Friday tradition this year as well. It has proven to be a hit with their customers and last year they introduced deals that surpassed the 2014 Black Friday deals. This year will see even much bigger deals.

Pick n Pay slashed prices by up to 60% on selected products on Black Friday, 27 November 2015. The retailer’s Black Friday catalogue featured several food items, some electronic appliances, and some beverages. Pick n Pay’s Black Friday promotional material captured in the attached flyer shows a price-slashing promise worded, “One day only sale up to 60% off”.

In the past, Makro termed their Black Friday a Pink Friday sales day, playing off their corporate colours. The company had great Black Friday deals and saw customers flock to their stores.

E-commerce companies like Kalahari, Spree, Zando and Superbalist also had Black Friday takeovers of their sites and the companies battled to keep up with the unprecedented response from consumers.

Previously, Kalahari had such great success they ended up extending their Black Friday sales promotions to midnight on Sunday. The company acknowledged that customers want to see big discount deals and once they do, they spread the word socially.

Shopping Spree had a 528% increase in orders compared to the average number of daily orders placed in November 2014’s Black Friday.

Superbalist’s website crashed on their 2014 Black Friday campaign. Their social media team took to Twitter and apologised to countless upset customers

Research unpacks South African cellphone, internet penetration

Spark Media’s latest Roots research gives marketers, advertisers and media agencies understanding of consumers’ cellphone and internet penetration. The research indicates that the era of connectivity is growing.
Research unpacks South African cellphone, internet penetration
© Jan Vašek via Pixabay
“Over the years, Roots has given us insights into consumers at a local level and, as the world changes so do our questions,” said Gill Randall, joint CEO of SPARK Media. “Although many categories and questions remain constant to enable trending, questions and categories are continually added in order to stay current.

“Cellphone and internet penetration are cases in point. For example, Hot Spot or free WiFi areas were introduced in the 2016 data. While it is interesting to note that on average, across the data range, 16% of PDMs (purchase decision makers) access the internet where free WiFi is available, but the behaviour changes at a local level. In Fourways, 53% of PDMS make use of the free WiFi while in Port Elizabeth the number drops to 34%.”

It is useful to track and trend data. Internet access is rising rapidly across the country. Overall, from 2013 to 2016, internet access in the past four weeks has increased from 37% to 60% while the category ‘consumers accessing the internet several times a day’ has increased from 22% to 47%.

Internet penetration is driven mainly by a young working population (20-44 years) residing in urban areas. Midrand now has 99% connectivity (up from 65%) while Polokwane East is up to 87% from 45%. Perhaps the most startling statistic is the Newcastle Metro, which only had 33% connectivity in 2013, is now at nearly 90%.

As shown, we live in an era of connectivity. Devices have come a long way and their popularity can clearly be seen in the growth of the smartphone market. In three years, 33% up, to 80% penetration in this product, landlines have suffered as a result and with only 16% of homes having a fixed telephone.

What do consumers do with all this internet penetration and connectivity? 83% access social networks such as Facebook and Twitter and 40% do that every day. 70% use instant messaging or online chatting, 66% upload photos, videos or music, 65% send and receive emails and 55% read the news, sport or weather and 21% do this every day.

Other activities include, the downloading of music or video files, watching videos online, searching for information online about products/brands seen on TV, purchasing or researching products online before buying them and using internet banking or a banking app.

“It is clear that major opportunities exist for brands to engage with their consumers in a world that becomes more and more connected, particularly at a local level. The data provides insights by category and area, down to suburban level and that is where the magic happens for brands. No one area or target market is the same. This area by area information on connectivity and internet behaviour becomes valuable when marketers plan or evaluate on their campaigns,” concludes Randall.

How To Make Money From Passions

i Maverick Money 2010

Again, just take a deep breath and simply read…

To make money online many people jump right in before they are properly prepared. You know that to be a rocket scientist, a doctor, a brick layer, a construction worker, an office worker, a teacher there are prerequisites, things you must learn, before you can be successful, you don’t just jump right in unprepared.

The same applies to the Internet marketing industry even though there are unsavory people out there who’d have you believe it’s a “Walk in the Park” and requires no more than the belief that you can just do it.

And I’ll have to admit, it is a walk in the park compared to what you have to put up with in the working world punching a clock being a subordinate to someone who does not have your interests in mind, but there are still rules you have to follow and pitfalls you must avoid to actually make Internet marketing work for you.

Most people will not make a dime online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year. Why is that?

My answer begins with the age-old chicken or egg question, “what comes first the chicken or the egg”? Personally I vote for, well never mind, each argument you or I make comes back to the same old conclusion – I have no clue and I don’t think many of us do either.

But one thing I do have a clue about and know for sure is that to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products and/or service of any Internet business from which you expect to make money.

Passion in this sense simply means that you’ve researched and like the company and products or services. It is then that you translate that like (or Passion) into the education, excitement and work that usually accompany Passion.

I will have to say that many online entrepreneurs are so good at what they do that they ignore passion because they can sell anything. But I’m concerned about those of you who are not so knowledgeable at working an online business successfully.

Now, I’m not trying to make anyone believe that Passion is the only thing necessary. Because to be successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, and etc. Those things are often learned from the company you join – but sidestep Passion and you reduce your chances for success dramatically.

It therefore follows that, if you have no Passion for the company and the products and services provided by that company, again, you won’t attempt to do the work you are being taught.

Internet marketing work is typically not all that difficult or time consuming but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you off and running with a sustained effort so that you won’t stumble.

You have a great resource in the Internet search engines to search about the Internet Marketing industry for business opportunities, USE IT!

Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in. It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don’t find it move on,
You can find the right opportunity containing the attributes identified above.

Comments like, well, that one sounds good and the compensation plan is excellent so I guess I’ll start that business – does not sound like a decision based on anything near Passion. And remember when you hear that an Internet “guru” does that, don’t be tempted, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products and services.

Note: By the way it’s your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. That end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.

Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into Internet Marketing but if you don’t first find the right company products and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of frustration instead of bringing you great success.

Not being Passionate about a company and products and services that has market proof that it will sell is a pitfall you simply must avoid.

You will not be limited to your assessment results. I you have or create other interests around Internet Marketing; then move that way. It is up to you!

So, even though they’ll have training on every subject from traffic, copy, social media, building a site, product development, affiliate marketing, etc., you can move along the paths of least resistance to get you where you want to be as quickly as possible.

Every week for 8 weeks you’ll have access to live training calls and webinars with Howie and his expert project managers in every subject that you need help with. You get to ask questions live as they help you with your personal blueprint. We also have a forum to support them 24/7.

With this type of training, you’ll be getting just what you need, exactly when you need it.

Again, with this type of training, obviously Howie and his team only take on what they can handle. It is a limited offer. There are only so many spots available and it will close as soon as they are filled. Click on the link below to get on our FREE early-bird list for a couple reasons:
